Located about 25.0 km to the north of Kuantan city and facing South China Sea, Kuantan Port is a multipurpose port in the East Coast Region of Peninsular Malaysia. Previously run by Kuantan Port Authority, it has been privatised since 1998 and is currently managed and operated by Kuantan Port Consortium Sdn Bhd (KPC).
Providing a variety of excellent berthing facilities totalling 3,213 metres in length to cater to the various cargo compositions handled by the port. These facilities include : Multipurpose berths, Liquid chemical berths, palm oil berths, mineral oil berths and container terminals. Due to increasing demands on its facilities, KPC had decided to enlarge the berthing basin. The works involved dredging of the new turning basin and disposing of dredge materials to assigned location as approved by DOE.
