How we Started
With its humble beginning in 1996, its first challenges was in the development of the green field port of Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), Johor, Malaysia, with a total project value of RM1.155 billion. The task encompasses the engineering consultancy services for the Port Wharves Structures, Terminal Operating Facilities and the main access road to PTP. While maintaining and expanding the expertise on ports and marine development works, the company has grown in leaps and bounds, securing and successfully completed projects for :
- Highways, Roads and Bridges
- Ports and Marine Development Works
- Civil, Structure, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Design
- Slope and Soil Treatment / Rehabilitation Works
- Bridges, Buildings, Special Structures Engineering Audit
- Forensic Engineering and Asset Auditing
In addition to in-house expertise, the company is able to draw from its pool of international and local consulting associates in specialised fields.
The Thrust
It is the aim of our company, DPI Konsult Sdn Bhd to provide excellent level of professionalism to the Clients. It is our obligation to seek solution for a project which strikes the best balance between technical adequacy, financial viability and time feasibility while concurrently exploring alternatives to ensure both technical and economic viability are to the best of interest to the Clients.
This is commonly carried out through the ‘Diagnosis’ (D) of the projects to identify key issues or the root cause of potential problems associated with the projects. Only through proper understanding of these factors would enable us to carry out the ‘Prognosis’ (P) to identify best fit solutions for the projects.
In line with the practice of offering the Clients the best return on investments we have developed our own QA/QC system which are congruent to the requirements of MS ISO 9001:2008 and our system has been accredited by both SIRIM and UKAS since 2003.

The company takes pride in providing innovative and appropriate solutions which are functional, flexible and cost-effective. We recognize the clients need for satisfactory level of service and high commitment towards quality, on-time and on-budget performance which shall be fulfilled through Quality Management System practiced within the organisation.
3. Finally, our huge advantage to the Clients lies in the vast experience acquired over more than 30 years by the founders who had acclimatized their knowledge to the local customs and conditions and currently transferring the knowledge to its pool of young professional engineers and associates. These experiences were also gained when the company had gone beyond the shores of Malaysia from overseas undertakings in Iraq, Sudan and Rwanda.
